Dear George, The pattern option puts a pattern on the desktop. The wallpaper puts a picture over top of the desktop. When you choose a large picture or choose to tile a smaller wallpaper design, it completely covers the desktop hiding the pattern that you chose. To be able to see both, choose a small wallpaper picture and set the option to center the paper.
Kenneth Jordan, Newark, NJ Dear Kenneth, Select the three items that make up the drawing. Choose Shape Group from the menu. The items will be grouped and treated as one for moving and sizing purposes. You can double-click on the shape to put the shape in a separate window so that you can easily edit each of the parts, including the text within the circle. When you have finished editing the text, close the shape editing window
Dear Terry Kay, It sounds like you are placing the graphics and text separately. You can include the graphic as a part of the text. This way when you move the text, the graphic stays in the place relative to the text. This is called placing a graphic in-line. To place the graphic in-line, make sure the text tool is selected and the text pointer is positioned within the text where you want the graphic to appear. Place the graphic using File Place or the Edit Paste command. You will be able to size and crop the graphic, but you will not be able to wrap the text around or over the graphic. Cheryl McVay, Modesto, CA Dear Cheryl, To send a blind copy to your boss with the original mailing of the e-mail, include your boss' email address enclosed in parentheses. If there is more than one person you want to send a blind copy to, enclose all the names separated by commas in the same set of parentheses. All other recipients will not see your boss' name, but he will see his name with all the others. To make the e-mail more personal, you can include your entire To: list in the same set of parentheses. That way every person thinks you sent them a personal note. | |
